Introduction
We are happy to share the release notes for the ScaleArc 2019.6.
Summary
The main changes in this release include important bug fixes and clarified support discontinuance for older versions.
Features
This release is a maintenance release, focusing on ensuring stability and reliability. The following platforms are supported:
- Operating Systems: CentOS 6.10, CentOS 7.5, RHEL 7.5
- MySQL: MySQL 5.5, 5.6, 5.7; Percona XtraDB Cluster 5.6.20; Galera 3.23 (Maria DB 10.3); MariaDB 10.3; Amazon Aurora DB
- MS SQL Server: SQL Server 2005, 2008, 2012, 2014, 2016, 2017 (limited new features support); Azure SQLDB
Bug Fixes
Several customer and internal defects have been fixed in this release:
- [SCALEARC-9204] - Fixed an issue causing the ScaleArc RPM install to fail in RHEL 7.5.
- [SCALEARC-9390] - Resolved a detection issue for network interfaces during initial setup on the CentOS 7.5 based version.
- [SCALEARC-8880] - Addressed a deadlock issue on the lb.sqlite database.
- [SCALEARC-9377] - Fixed accidental Volume License Upload that required manual intervention.
- [SCALEARC-9600] - Corrected Kinit command failures occurring immediately after domain joining.
- [SCALEARC-9750] - Resolved an issue where the ScaleArc web UI hanged on wrong volume license uploads.
- [SCALEARC-9870] - Fixed UI errors displayed when uploading an invalid volume license.
Support Discontinuance
Support for ScaleArc versions older than 3.10 will be discontinued, with bug fixes not provided after June 30, 2019. Customers are encouraged to upgrade to ScaleArc version 3.10 or newer for continued support.
