ScaleArc Release Notes 2019.5

Introduction

We are happy to share the release notes for the ScaleArc 2019.5.

Summary

The main changes in this release include various customer defect fixes and internal improvements.

Features

This release primarily addresses user-reported issues and enhances performance.

Bugfixes

Several critical bugs have been resolved:

  • [SCALEARC-8463] - Fix for cloning AWO cluster where editing the VNN server on a destination ScaleArc instance was not allowed.
  • [SCALEARC-8689] - Resolved locking issue with internal sqlite DB under specific conditions.
  • [SCALEARC-8587] - Performance improved by optimizing API execution.
  • [SCALEARC-8590] - Resolved Error#2017 which occurred during startup of an AWO cloned cluster.

Platforms Supported

This release supports the following platforms:

  • Operating Systems: CentOS 6.10, CentOS 7.5, RHEL 7.5
  • MySQL versions: 5.5, 5.6, 5.7; Percona XtraDB Cluster 5.6.20; Galera 3.23 (Maria DB 10.3); MariaDB 10.3; Amazon Aurora DB
  • MS SQL Server versions: 2005, 2008/R2, 2012, 2014, 2016, 2017 (limited new features), and Azure SQLDB.

Support Discontinuance

Please note that bug fixes will not be provided for ScaleArc versions older than 3.10 after June 30, 2019. Continuous support will be available for ScaleArc version 3.10 or newer.
