ScaleArc 2020.8 Release Notes

Introduction

We are happy to share the release notes for the ScaleArc 2020.8.

Summary

The main changes in this release include new features and several resolved issues that enhance functionality and stability.

New Features

With this release, the following new feature has been introduced:

  • Postgresql DB compatibility (BETA version): Enhancements for PostgreSQL database compatibility.

Resolved Issues

The following issues have been resolved:

  • SCALEARC-16233: Connections were being created between Primary and Secondary in HA rapidly, presenting a risk of network depletion. This issue has been fixed by closing incomplete or finished connections.
  • SCALEARC-17288: User deletion functionality was restructured to allow forced removal from Sqlite db if the user could not be found in core, addressing issues with user limits.
  • SCALEARC-17194: Adjustments to the traffic analyzer function mean it now retrieves database types from the selected cluster when users start capture from the UI, rather than relying on license properties.
