KB 2237 - Software Upgrade Error

User is trying to upgrade ScaleArc and gets the following error message:

Error ID 2237: RPM upgrade failed



This error message implies that the upgrade was unsuccessful. Try the following:

1. Check the RPM version by accessing the installer.log files. If a RPM version precheck fails because a higher version of a specific RPM exists, then put it in the /opt/idb/bin/ignore_rpm_versions.conf file and apply the build again.

2. Check the CentOS version. CentOS versions 6.4, 6.5 and 6.6 are supported. Please install the supported CentOS version and try the software upgrade once again.
